Why Integrated Wellness Produces Better Outcomes
Nutrition, sleep, physical activity, and mental health are not separate systems. A patient managing depression whose sleep is disrupted and who is not eating well may not respond as fully to psychiatric medication alone. A patient managing type 2 diabetes whose anxiety is undertreated will struggle with consistent behavioral change. Hope Integrative Medicine's integrated model addresses these connections directly.
Wellness services are delivered by our nurse practitioner team with Medical Director oversight, coordinated with your primary care and mental health treatment plan within the same practice.
Prescriptions and Safety
Telehealth visits are evaluation and management visits. A prescription can be part of your treatment when your provider, using professional judgment and deciding together with you after weighing the risks and benefits, finds it medically necessary. Whether you are seen in person in West Ashley or by telehealth, prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy.
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for chest pain or pressure, trouble breathing, signs of stroke, a severe allergic reaction, or severe abdominal pain.

We order the screening tests recommended for your age, sex and risk factors, following U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) guidelines, such as a cholesterol panel, a blood sugar or A1C test for adults at risk of diabetes, and one-time hepatitis C and HIV screening, along with any tests your symptoms or conditions call for. We do not order large wellness panels or specialty tests without a clear medical reason.
No. Our lifestyle medicine is part of conventional, evidence-based primary care. We follow established guidelines, including U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations, for screening and prevention, and we do not offer functional medicine testing or treatments.
